JOIN US FOR HUCKLEBERRY PICKING August 21 & 22 –AFTER THE MILL CITY CAMP-OUT
August 7th, 2007
FYI: The wild huckleberry is a non cultivated berry that grows in mountain ranges above 5,000 feet. The berry resembles a blueberry, yet the taste is rare, wild and bold and is widely proclaimed as nature’s most distinctive berry. They make scrumptious, mouthwatering pies, pancakes, vitamin-packed smoothies, etc. Late summer is the only time they are ready for picking.
Please come join us for this once-a-year event on Tuesday (Aug 21st), and Wednesday (Aug 22nd) near Stevenson, WA — Approximately 50 miles from Portland.
This is a beautiful locale in Skamania County, WA — in the heart of the Columbia Gorge National Scenic Area.
It is near Trout Lake with Mt. Adams looming in the distance. (Don’t forget your camera, too.)
We will meet in Stevenson and drive to the huckleberry picking area.
You can make it a day trip or an overnighter.

This is NOT an official OR-LoW event, so the usual restrictions as to who you travel with (grandkids, etc.), do NOT apply.
