Information re new get-togethers are posted on the “Event Schedule” page!
Winter luncheons are now underway and a very special “unofficial” Christmas Event with multiple activities is on the boards.
Attend any or all of these functions. It’s a chance for “off-season” visits; for prospective members, it’s a chance to “check us out” without committing to a four day camp-out.

We’ve just completed the last camp-out of 2011 at Champoeg Heritage State Park. What a great season we had!
Hope some of you who have found this website will attend a couple of winter luncheons and be ready to join us at our C-Os in 2012.
Winter Luncheon Schedule and Partial 2012 Camp-out Schedule are posted on the Events Schedule page.
November Newsletter is now posted on its page as well, and the first photo page is up on the Photos page. Will get up more photos up as soon as time permits. (Webmeister is very busy getting ready to head south in a very short time.)
Stay tuned . . .
Gladys is planning another December “unofficial” outing to the Pittock Mansion followed by lunch at the Spaghetti Factory.

Just returned from the September camp-out, and it was a good one!!! Big turn-out and fabulous weather, in the 80’s each and every day. Newsletter will be posted on the October Newsletter page in a few days. Photos will also be added to the Photo page about the same time.
Now then . . . The very last C-O of the season is coming up in just two weeks! October 10th through the 13th — check out on Friday, the 14th. There is a short distance between Sept and Oct as the October C-O is always the 2nd week of the month — hoping for better weather.
However we will have a large, enclosed building for activities at the group site in Champoeg State Park. Because of this building, it is a favorite Oct destination, however the size and number of rigs that can be accommodated in the group site is limited. Additionally more and more members have larger rigs and need to be situated in an adjacent loop.
Also, there are NO sites reserved for Sunday. If campers wish to come one day early they are on their own. Since that is the Columbus Day weekend, available first-come/first-serve sites may be quite quite limited.
Details and directions are already on the Events Schedule page.

A long-time OR-LoW member who now lives in Sutherlin is trying to start up a new LoW Chapter for the southern part of the state. It might also prove more convenient for Single RVers living in Northern California. As promised, there is to be another “unofficial” event on September 8th — To the Portland Japanese Garden and . . . . .
The Portland Japanese Garden is proclaimed to be the most authentic Japanese garden outside of Japan. It consists of five gardens on 5.5 acres in the west hills of Portland.
The plan is to meet at the home of Gladys H at 9:30. Rather than taking the Max (as originally planned) participants will then carpool to the gardens.
There is a 45 minute tour beginning at 10:45 for those who wish to join that. One can join/leave the tour at any point.
Time permitting, the group will then visit the Washington Park Rose Garden before returning to the east side to have lunch at an Ethiopian restaurant.
Links to the gardens are posted among the links on the right side of this page.
