The lunch cruise aboard the Portland Spirit was a huge success, enjoyed by all who attended.
Another “unofficial” event is in the offing next month for the Japanese Garden and the Washington Park Rose Garden on the NW side of town. Details to be given at a later date.

July Camp-Out at Elks Wapiti RV Park near Lincoln City is completely booked.
Wagonmaster was unable to obtain any more sites.
Twenty-two OR-LoWs and two visitors had a great time at the Camp-Out June 20th through 23rd at the Sisters O’night Park in Sisters OR — Eating, Shopping, Sight-seeing, etc.
Also side trips to Smith Rock S.P., Cove Palisades S.P. and the “Balancing Rocks.” See pix on Photos Page this website.

Since a number of OR-LoWs enjoy Jack Creek Campground, it was decided to hold an “unofficial” get-together there prior to the Sisters C-O. A few will arrive there as early as Thursday evening (06/16). All are welcome to come and stay for any number of days that suits their schedules — whether or not they continue on to the Official C-O at Sister Overnight Park the following week.

There is a new “unofficial” event in the planning.
A group went to the Emerald Valley Opry in Eugene in February. Some have indicated they are interested in going again in April.
The April date is 04/09/11; The show starts at 5:30; Senior Adult Admission is $5.00.
Previously, the group met at a member’s house in mid-afternoon, went to dinner, then to the show.”

IT IS WITH REGRET WE SAY FAREWELL TO OUR OLDEST MEMBER. HELEN CUMMINGS PASSED AWAY THE MORNING OF FEBRUARY 22ND AFTER BEING ADMITTED TO THE HOSPITAL THE PREVIOUS WEEKEND WITH PNEUMONIA.
HELEN ATTENDED HER LAST C-O WITH THE OR-LOW’s IN AUGUST OF 2007. SHE CONTINUED TO RECEIVE OUR NL’s AND KEEP AN INTEREST IN OUR EVENTS.
